Opt-out: You can disable functional cookies in browser settings, but some features may not work properly.

2.3 Analytics Cookies

Purpose: Understand how visitors use our platform to improve user experience.

  • Google Analytics: Page views, session duration, user flow (2 years)
  • Hotjar: Heatmaps, session recordings (anonymized) (1 year)
  • Amplitude: Feature usage tracking (1 year)

Opt-out: Disable analytics cookies in our cookie banner or use Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

2.4 Marketing Cookies

Purpose: Show relevant ads and measure campaign effectiveness.

  • LinkedIn Insight: B2B ad targeting (90 days)

Opt-out: Disable marketing cookies in our cookie banner or adjust ad settings in Google, Facebook, LinkedIn.

  • Plaid: Bank account connection (session)

4. How to Control Cookies

4.1 Cookie Banner

When you first visit DynaTax, you'll see a cookie banner allowing you to:

  • Accept All: Enable all cookies (essential, functional, analytics, marketing)
  • Reject Non-Essential: Only essential cookies enabled
  • Customize: Choose which cookie categories to enable

Change Preferences: Click "Cookie Settings" in the footer anytime to update your choices.

4.2 Browser Settings

You can also manage cookies through your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Note: Disabling all cookies may prevent you from using certain features of DynaTax.

4.3 Do Not Track (DNT)

We respect browser Do Not Track signals. If DNT is enabled in your browser, we will not set analytics or marketing cookies.

5. Other Tracking Technologies

5.1 Web Beacons / Pixels

Small invisible images in emails and web pages that track:

  • Email open rates (marketing emails only, can opt out)
  • Ad impressions and conversions
  • Page load times

5.2 Local Storage

HTML5 local storage to cache:

  • Dashboard data for faster loading
  • Draft documents before upload
  • User interface preferences

Clear via browser settings: Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data.

5.3 Session Storage

Temporary storage cleared when you close browser:

  • Multi-step form data (onboarding wizard)
  • Active tab information
  • Temporary file uploads

6. Mobile App Tracking (Future)

DynaTax currently operates as a web platform. If we release mobile apps in the future, they may use:

  • Mobile advertising IDs (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android)
  • Push notification tokens
  • App usage analytics

You will be able to opt out via device settings (Limit Ad Tracking on iOS, Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android).

7. Children's Privacy

DynaTax is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Our cookies are only set for users who certify they are 18 or older.

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology or legal requirements. Updates will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be notified via email or platform notification.
